Shepparton Corridor Upgrade project comprises upgrades along the Shepparton Rail Corridor between Seymour and Shepparton to allow for VLocity trains to travel to Shepparton including culvert structural repairs to enable reclassification to Track Class 2M to support 130km/hr line running and an increase in load to 21 TAL.
Dex was responsible for conducting a Risk Assessment and report for the Alliance (Coleman Rail and KBR) to determine whether guard rails were required utilising a risk-based assessment of a train derailment event comparing existing risk profile against the proposed risk profile based on so far as is reasonably practical for numerous under and overbridges on the Shepparton Line. This also included a review of the Level 3 investigations of the structures in the outcome of train collision.
